Police investigating the homicide and disappearance of a Prince Albert man are asking anyone who lives just west of Saskatchewan Penitentiary to search their properties.
RCMP said in a media release Thursday investigators have not yet found the remains of Troy Napope.
Napope, who was 23 when he disappeared in the summer of 2015, was last seen May 27 and 28 at a party in Prince Albert and reported missing June 6. A vehicle he was driving the morning of May 28 was found that same day burning northwest of the city, and in November, police said investigators were treating his death as a homicide.
Thursday’s media release from RCMP asked residentsliving within a 10-kilometre area west of the prison — which is located just west of Prince Albert — to search their yards and buildings. Police dogs would also be searching the area, Mounties advised.
