Sask. police investigating mischief incident after bomb report in school

Prince Albert police are investigating a mischief incident after a bomb report in a school Friday afternoon.

At around 1:30 p.m., officers were called to the school in the 400 block of 10th Street East for a report of a bomb being in the school, Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) said in a release.

Arriving officers found students had safely evacuated the school before they conducted initial search of the school where they found no explosive device inside or outside the school.

Police say a comprehensive secondary search was also conducted by skilled and tactically trained officers and again no explosive device was located, and the school is found to be safe.

According to police, they have identified and located suspects in relation to this incident and are continuing to investigate.

Police believe this time there is no risk to public safety. Traffic restrictions have also been lifted.
