Police in Prince Albert and RCMP believe a car found burning just outside the city is linked to the case of a missing 23-year-old man.

Troy Cecil Napope was last seen in Prince Albert on May 28 — the same day a grey 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix was reported burning northwest of the city.

The fire was reported in the morning, according to RCMP. The car was found on Whitfield Road, just north of Highway 3, in the Buckland rural municipality.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have spotted the car the night of May 27 or the morning of May 28 — or who may have seen suspicious activity in the area — to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP at 1-306-765-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
