Prince Albert police and RCMP are treating the disappearance of a 23-year-old man, whose vehicle was found burning outside the city just days before he was reported missing, as a homicide.
Troy Napope was last seen May 27 and 28 at a party on the 1400 block of Prince Albert’s 12th Street West. A vehicle he was driving the morning of the 28th was found burning northwest of the city that same day, RCMP said in a media release.
He was reported missing June 6, and though neither he nor his remains have been found, police believe he was the victim of foul play and are treating his disappearance as a homicide.
Napope’s vehicle, a grey 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, was found burning just off Whitfield Road. Police still consider him missing and are looking to speak with anyone who was in the Whitfield Road area on May 28, who saw Napope or who saw anything unusual.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP’s major crimes north unit at 1-306-975-8952 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
