Two face attempted murder, kidnapping charges in Montreal Lake case

Kevin Brian Henderson, 30, of Prince Albert and Shantel Laureen Mike of the Beardy's First Nation are wanted on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, robbery and theft of a vehicle.

A 66-year-old Montreal Lake woman sought by police has been located and now two people are wanted for attempted murder in connection with the case.

Waskesiu Lake RCMP had wanted to confirm the well-being of Marina Henderson after police were called early Monday to the health clinic on the Montreal Lake Cree Nation to investigate a reported assault.

Kevin Brian Henderson, 30, of Prince Albert and Shantel Laureen Mike, 26, of the Beardy's First Nation now face charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, robbery and theft of a vehicle.

Henderson and Mike may be armed and dangerous and should not be approached, RCMP said in a news release. Anyone knowing their whereabouts is asked to call RCMP or Crimestoppers.
