As the City of Saskatoon begins budget deliberations next week, taxpayers are bracing for a tax hike. But user fees are also likely to rise across the board.
Riding the bus could cost you more. City Administration is recommending a 10 cent increase per ride or 3 dollars on a monthly pass, starting in February. A monthly gym pass could go up by as much as 5 dollars a month. Saskatoon Light and Power rates could climb about 5%. Water bills by 7.5% and the cost of taking your trash to the Landfill could double in price.
