Saskatoon’s old police station has officially been sold.

City council unanimously approved the sale of the Fourth Avenue building to Duchuck Holdings for $10.7 million Monday.

A condition of the sale includes a five-year tax abatement subject to the completion of renovations or development.

A representative with commercial real estate company ICR told CTV News earlier this week Duchuck plans to significantly renovate the building into a “best-in-class” office space, and city manager Murray Totland said Monday the developer will likely seek tenants for the building.

Duchuck Holdings owns commercial real estate in Saskatchewan and the U.S.

The Saskatoon Police Service moved into its new headquarters in the summer of 2014.
