A ‘sold’ sign may soon be placed in front of Saskatoon’s old police station.
A representative with commercial real estate company ICR says the building, on Fourth Avenue, has been sold to Duchuck Holdings, a private developer that owns commercial real estate in Saskatchewan and the U.S.
The developer plans to significantly renovate the building into a “best-in-class” office space, according to Barry Stuart, a managing partner with ICR.
An agenda for an upcoming city council meeting lists the purchase price at $10.7 million and states the agreement calls for a five-year tax abatement subject to the completion of renovations or development.
The sale still needs to be approved by city council.
