A 15-year-old boy is recovering in hospital after he was shot in the face in Prince Albert.

Police say the shooting happened Tuesday just before 2:45 p.m. on the 1700 block of 14th Street West. A 17-year-old boy, found with a gun, was arrested hours later.

The victim is in stable condition in a Saskatoon hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.

Charges are pending against the 17-year-old. He is expected to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Thursday, police say.

Investigators do not yet know the relationship between the two teens.
