Firefighters battled a house fire on the 300 block of Avenue V South for about an hour after reports came in around 5:30 p.m. Friday.
The fire appeared to be in the basement and may have moved up to the attic, according to the Saskatoon Fire Department.
Crews attacked the flames and smoke from the outside until it was safe to enter.
The fire department says the house was vacant and boarded up. No one was injured.
Fire investigators are working to determine a cause of the fire and a damage estimate.
