The owner and manager of T & T Travel in Kindersley, Sask. is charged with fraud after a 16-month investigation and hundreds of complaints.

The 44-year-old woman is facing one count of fraud over $5,000.

RCMP received more than 250 complaints about the travel agency.

“We appreciate the patience shown by victims as we completed the investigation and laid one all-encompassing charge. All aspects of the investigation will be presented as evidence in court,” Sgt. Colleen Lyons said in media release.

In January 2016, a voicemail for the company said the business was no longer operating. At that time CTV Saskatoon spoke with Brian Klein who said he and his son booked a $19,000 trip through the agency then found out the airfare and accommodations were not booked.

The woman is scheduled to appear in Kindersley Provincial Court on July 4, 2017.
