A man who allegedly broke into a home north of Prince Albert two weeks ago has died of injuries sustained during the break-in.

The 27-year-old, who has yet been named, died Sunday in a Saskatoon hospital. He was injured May 27 during a break and enter at the North Bay Trailer Court, north of Prince Albert.

RCMP Sgt. Brian Udey confirmed the man was one of three suspects in the home invasion. A caller reported three men broke into the home and threatened the residents with bear spray and other weapons. Officers found the man injured upon their arrival. Udey did not say how the man was hurt.

The man was transported to a Prince Albert hospital before being sent to Saskatoon via STARS air ambulance.

No charges have been laid so far and the investigation is ongoing, Udey said.
