A woman is dead after a shooting at a home on Saskatoon’s west side early Wednesday. 34-year-old Lorry Anne Santos died after she was shot in her home just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Santos was originally taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but police confirmed Wednesday morning that she died and the shooting is now being investigated as a homicide.
Police were called to a house on Peterson Terrace in the Westview neighbourhood, where they found Santos. There are four visible bullet holes piercing the home's front window.
A neighbour told CTV News he heard several large shots in quick succession and called 911.
Police said a family of six was inside the home at the time of the shooting -- two adults, including the victim, along with four children.
No arrests have been made, but police are working to locate a vehicle of interest. It's a newer model, four door, silver Acura with tinted windows. Anyone with information on the car is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
