Saskatoon police are continuing to investigate the city’s fourth homicide of the year.

Just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday, emergency crews responded to a call about a fight in the parking lot area of 7 Assiniboine Drive on a report of a stabbing.

Officers say a 22-year-old man and 18-year-old man were both transported to hospital.

According to police, the 22-year-old was suffering from life threatening injuries and underwent surgery. Just after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, police say he died from his injuries.

The 18-year-old was treated for his injuries and later released from hospital, officials say.

Investigators say they are continuing to interview several witnesses as the incident is still under investigation.
