The Saskatchewan government’s Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) is opening a third flood recovery centre, in the aftermath of record setting downpours earlier this month.
This newest centre will open on Monday, and be located at 404 Main Street in the town of Watrous.
Recovery centres had previously been set-up in the City of Estevan and the Town of Arborfield.
The centres give residents a chance to meet face-to-face with PDAP officials, get their questions about flood assistance answered, and begin the process of filing claims.
Many parts of Saskatchewan experienced severe flooding the week of July 10th, including a one in 200 year flood event in the town of Arborfield, that forced a mandatory evacuation of the entire community.
