With rising water threatening to cut off their way in and out of this home, officials with the R-M of Corman Park say the family who lives here is worried about being trapped.

"Its make it hard for them to access their old yard and impossible to access their new one."  Says Bas Froese-Kooijenga, a Councillor for the R-M.

The R-M of Corman Park says this area has been hammered by three and half inches of rain since last Sunday.  And because the area was already dealing with drainage issues, all the rain is causing a bad situation.

"There is just too much water and not enough capacity to move it away quickly so it’s causing a lot of issues not just for Luke and Stacy but for farmers in the area as well."

Dairy producers in the area are having a hard time transporting their products off their farms, as the road in is washed out in a number of spots.

Adam Tittemore, an Administrator with the R-M, says they are working on the situation.

"We are working on the roads with as much access as we can.  It is making access as difficult as possible with this amount of rain as far as getting equipment and trucks down the roads."

And the weather forecast is not expected to improve anytime soon.  On Saturday alone this area was hit with around 15 millimetres.  And the showers could continue through Sunday.

"We're thinking that we will see water levels continue to rise significantly and that is going to cause very big problems for both people and are R-M infrastructure."

The R-M says crews will be working throughout the weekend clearing old culverts and installing new ones, so the people here can eventually get back to their home.
