The law isn't taking a holiday as the trial of Randy O’Hagan entered day five. He is one of three men charged with 1stdegree murder in the September 12, 2012 death of Lorry Anne Santos.
The court heard from four witnesses on Monday morning, including three of Santos’ neighbours and a cab driver.
One neighbour was sleeping in a motorhome at the time of the shooting. He heard seven shots and says he felt the shooter was “with him” because of how close it felt. Another neighbor heard a “pop” and saw two men dressed in black running outside her window.
An additional neighbour describes seeing a silver Acura with tinted windows and Alberta license plates in the neighbourhood two days before the murder. According to an earlier witnesses in the trial O’Hagan was driving a vehicle with a similar description.
The cab driver says he picked up two men outside of a closed, Hampton Village drug store after midnight on September 11, 2012. Santos lived in the nearby Westview neighbourhood. The cab driver dropped the two men off in Sutherland
Two guns were found in Sutherland just over a year later, which are believed to have been used in the murder.
O’Hagan is believed to be affiliated with a gang known as the White Boy Posse. The murder is believed to have been a hit gone wrong.
