A man who fell from a fourth-storey balcony was taken to hospital with leg and ankle injuries Wednesday night.
Saskatoon police said the 25-year-old man was attempting to retrieve a toy for a family member by scaling the third- and fourth-floor balconies of an apartment building in the 200 block of Avenue V South just after 7:30 p.m.
The man was transported to hospital by MD Ambulance for further medical treatment.
Alcohol played a significant factor in the incident, police said in a news release.
