Six people were taken to hospital Monday after a van rolled on a highway south of Nipawin.

RCMP responded to the Highway 35 scene, about 13 kilometres south of the north-central Saskatchewan town, just after 5 p.m. A northbound van had rolled into the ditch, police said in a media release.

Six people were transported to Nipawin Hospital.

Police did not provide details on the extent of the injuries, but said four of the passengers were taken to Saskatoon via STARS ambulance or Northeast EMS. The woman driving the van and one of the passengers were treated and released from Nipawin Hospital.

RCMP are still investigating.
