Police are investigating after a Saskatoon taxi driver was robbed at knifepoint Sunday evening.

The driver had taken a male passenger to the 200 block of Avenue H North at approximately 6:15 p.m. when the suspect pulled out a 12-inch knife and demanded money, police said in a news release.

The driver gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled on foot. The cab driver was not injured in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a Native male in his 30s, 5-foot-8 in height with a mustache. He was wearing a black jacket with his hood up at the time of the robbery.
