Investigators are working to identify a body found after a house fire in north-central Saskatchewan.
Emergency crews were called to the blaze at a rural home, about four kilometres north of Shellbrook, at 8:45 a.m. Thursday.
The house was engulfed in flames when crews arrived, RCMP said in a media release.
An adult was found dead inside the residence.
The person’s identity has yet to be confirmed, according to police. An autopsy will determine the identity as well as the cause of death.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area. Investigators do not believe the fire is suspicious.
Shellbrook is located about 45 kilometres west of Prince Albert.
