Two youth charged in a bear mace attack and beating in North Battleford have been sentenced to over a year in closed custody.
In June, two boys, aged 14 and 16, were bear sprayed. The younger teen got away and phoned 911 but the 16-year-old was unable to escape.
Earlier this month, Becky Swindler spoke to CTV News about a brutal attack that left her son Douglas in hospital.
Two of three youths charged in the case were sentenced to 14 months and 12 months of closed custody. A third youth accused in the case will be in court next week.
