Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash on Highway 7 near the Cory potash mine.

Emergency crews responded to the scene around 7:40 on Wednesday morning. Investigators believe that a red car travelling eastbound was attempting to pass a semi when it crashed into a white car travelling westbound.

The female driver of the red car, from Delisle, and the female driver of the white car, from Vanscoy, were taken to hospital in Saskatoon with undetermined injuries.

Traffic was delayed for some time after the crash, but traffic is now flowing again.
