Saskatoon police located and arrested a 25-year-old sex offender Thursday following months of searching by police across the province.
Jeffery Ryan Wolverine was charged in 2011 with sexual assault and sexual interference of a person under the age of 16 for an incident that occurred in 2009.
He was serving a community sentence before failing to appear in English River court on July 23 in Patuanak, Sask.
RCMP issued arrest warrants for Wolverine and sent a media release shortly after the 25-year-old missed his court date, but police received no tips on his whereabouts. They issued a second release last month stating they thought Wolverine may be in the Saskatoon or Prince Albert area.
Wolverine will remain in custody and is scheduled for a hearing Monday in Meadow Lake Provincial Court.
