Victoria Jurgens - SaskParty

Victoria Jurgens

Jurgens owns and operates a small business that deals with the forestry and agro forestry sectors and she is also employed as a Dietitian and Public Health Nutritionist with the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. She holds an MBA from Athabasca University, as well as a B.Sc in Nutrition and a B.A. in Psychology, both from the University of Saskatchewan.

In addition, Jurgens has also sat on the boards of Dietitians of Canada, Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Dietitians Association, Early Childhood Council, and the Prince Albert and Area Food Coalition.

Jurgens says the Prince Albert Northcote constituency is a vibrant one, rich with people, ideas and resources. "I want to help build on the positive enthusiasm of the people in my community and ensure that all residents have the opportunity to reach their full potential."

Jurgens and her husband Allan have been married for 35 years and have three children and one granddaughter.

Darcy Furber - NDP

Darcy Furber

Raised in Prince Albert, Furber was elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in 2007. In the Saskatchewan NDP Caucus, he serves as critic for Forestry and for Energy and Resources. He is also the Deputy House Leader.

Furber has worked for various organizations, including the Saskatchewan government, P.A. Bottlers, St. Mary's high school as a youth counselor and SaskTel.

Furber attended the University of Regina, majoring in kinesiology. In his spare time, he has coached many different teams including Team Saskatchewan Softball, where he won a gold medal at the North American Indigenous Games.

As a youth, he played hockey for the Mintos and Midget Raiders and baseball, winning a provincial championship with the P.A. Athletics and a national championship with the P.A. Braves.
