Even though it's the middle of winter, pine beetles are still causing headaches in Saskatchewan.
The beetles are continuing to come to Saskatchewan from Alberta, with many in the south west region. the provincial forestry centre in Prince Albert is working with the ministry of enviroment to combat the problem before even more pine trees are destroyed by the pests.
An expert with the forestry centre says the problem stems from the lack of extremely cold temperatures so far this winter.
