A pilot has escaped unharmed after a plane hit a ditch near Martensville.
RCMP were called to the aircraft just before 5 p.m. Friday. The plane ran off the end of a runway, located west of Highway 12, while taking off.
The pilot — the aircraft’s lone occupant — was uninjured, police said.
The scene will not be cleared tonight, according to RCMP. Transport Canada will not be conducting any further investigation.
