A 32-year-old man is facing a second-degree murder charge after the death of a man in Nipawin less than two weeks.
RCMP were called late Jan. 4 to a home on the 500 block of First Avenue West in Nipawin after a 57-year-old man was found dead inside the residence.
The death was initially considered suspicious, and an autopsy was conducted days later in Saskatoon.
The victim has since been identified as Charles Francis Letendre.
He was known to the man accused in his death, according to RCMP.
Both men were from Nipawin.
The accused, who appeared in Melfort Provincial Court Tuesday morning, was remanded into custody. His next court appearance — this time in Nipawin Provinical Court — is set for Feb. 8.
