Documents obtained by CTV News reveal the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan is still failing to meet standards set out by the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS).

In a letter to the College of Medicine community, Associate Dean Sheila Rutledge Harding, said there are still four standards that are listed as “non-compliant”, and that two other areas of non-compliance have been identified.

Standards not being met include the understanding of the authority and responsibility of medical school issues among the top faculty. The faculty must also do a better job ensuring objectives of the education programs are being met.

In her letter, Harding said an action plan will be submitted to the CACMS by the end of 2013.

The College of Medicine had their accreditation put on probation earlier this month.
