We know the winner of a large Lotto 6/49 jackpot from back in August and you may recognize the name.

Donald Worme, a well-known Saskatoon lawyer is the winner of the $14.7 million Lotto 6/49 prize drawn on Aug. 31. It’s the largest winning lottery jackpot prize ever bought in Saskatoon.

Worme says he knew he won but decided to keep it a secret, causing speculation among many Saskatoon residents for almost two months.

The ticket was bought from the Fas Gas at the junction of HIghway 5 and Highway 41.

Worme’s ticket was the only one sold across the country that matched all six winning numbers in the draw.

This win just beat the $14.6 million Super 7 prize won in Saskatoon in 2006.
