High-speed Internet is lagging in rural Saskatchewan, according to the CRTC.

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission recently published a map showing gaps in Internet coverage across the province.

Cities have access to the fastest technologies, while the countryside lags behind, the map shows.

The map is part of the commission’s Talk Broadband initiative, which aims to give more Canadians access to modern Internet speeds.

The commission is working to provide the telecommunications industry with a new set of guidelines in the fall.
