An investigation is underway after an inmate was found dead at the provincial corrections centre in Prince Albert last week.
The Ministry of Corrections and police confirmed that a male inmate was found dead in his cell on Nov. 23. A cause of death has not yet been released, but corrections said no foul play is suspected. The man was in remand awaiting a court date and was alone in his cell at the time of death.
An investigation involving corrections, Prince Albert city police and the coroner is underway.
