A bail hearing for a 13-year-old boy charged with attempted murder has been rescheduled for Thursday

The youth, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, remains in custody and the court has ordered a report to see if the teen is suitable for bail.

Supporters who showed up to Saskatoon provincial court on Tuesday declined to comment.

The youth was charged after a 13-year-old girl was stabbed Friday night during an attack that took place in an alley behind her home in Warman.

RCMP say the girl suffered stab wounds to her neck and upper body but is expected to fully recover.

Meanwhile, police say they'll be looking into online chatter surrounding the case

Although the boy can't be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, Mounties are concerned about the release of his name through social media. Police say they'll be looking at all online material that may have some bearing on their investigation.
