An 18-year-old Saskatoon female has been charged with one count of first-degree murder in the death of a 37-year-old man.

On Oct. 23, 2016, Warman RCMP found the body of Patrick Dong on a gravel road off Highway 60, southwest of Saskatoon.

Dong's wife, Marla Chef, says her husband was the love of her life.

“He was very outgoing and everybody who knew him always got along with him. He was always happy and loved his kids so much,” Marla Chef said.

The RCMP arrested the woman, who was a youth at the time and cannot be named, in a Saskatoon home on Wednesday.

Chef said she doesn’t know what to think about the arrest or that she’s 18 years old, but is glad there has been an arrest made.

The woman charged appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court this morning and will make her next court appearance June 13.
