The family of a missing man is pleading for the public’s help in their search for the 29-year-old.

Ryan Coulineur, a father of three, was last seen by his mother one week ago, on the morning of Nov. 25, when he was dropped off for a medical appointment on the 500 block of 45th Street West. He was headed to a therapy class after suffering a brain injury in the spring, according to his cousin Arliss Coulineur. He takes medication for seizures and needs to drink a lot of water. He also has limited vocabulary and movement of his left hand.

Ryan may have been at the Dakota Dunes Casino on the evening of Nov. 25, Arliss said. His phone has been off since then and he hasn’t been active on social media. His debit card may have been used on Tuesday.

His family said it’s unusual for Ryan not to be in contact with them. They’re worried for his safety.

“For no one to see him, no one to even talk to him, throughout our whole family, it’s uncommon,” his cousin Leonard Couillonneur told reporters at a news conference Friday. “Me, myself, I’m worried because I drive everywhere all night. I’m up all night driving around trying to find (him).”

Ryan’s family describes him as outgoing and says he has an unforgettable smile.

“We know somebody out there knows. Somebody out there has an idea of where our family member — our cousin, our son, our father — is,” Arliss said.

About a dozen supporters attended Friday’s news conference, including FSIN Vice-Chief Heather Bear. She’s calling on the public and police to help in finding Ryan.

The FSIN made a financial contribution, through funds from its Strength of Our Women gala, to help with search efforts. The gala donates proceeds to initiatives that support the families of missing and murdered indigenous women and girls.

Ryan is described as 5-8 and 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black shoes and a heavy grey jacket.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
