Charges are pending against a semi driver after a large cultivator being hauled by the truck hit an overpass at Circle Drive and Highway 11 Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred just before 10 a.m. Saskatoon police say the semi was travelling northbound on Highway 11.

The cultivator was too large to fit under the overpass and slammed into the structure.

Several girder lines were clipped, according to a city spokesperson.

Two of three lanes on Highway 11’s northbound side were still shut down Wednesday afternoon as crews cleared the scene.

The city spokesperson said crews were working to remove loose concrete after inspecting the overpass. A further inspection would be needed to see if any repairs are required, according to the spokesperson.

No one was injured, police said.
