Fires in two Saskatoon alleyways early Thursday morning are considered suspicious, the city’s fire department says.

Fire crews were called to the blazes, in alleys on the 2400 block of Broadway Avenue and the 2500 block of William Avenue, at about 2:30 a.m. Both fires started in the alleys before quickly spreading to fences, according the fire department. One fire damaged a detached garage.

Crews were able to control the flames within minutes.

No one was injured. Officials say the fires are considered suspicious.
