Two electrical workers sustained minor injuries after an explosion at the Sheraton Cavalier.
Saskatoon fire crews were called at 11 a.m. Friday after reports of an explosion in the hotel’s basement.
Electrical contractors were removing a cover from a panel when an electrical short occurred. The explosion was “minor,” according to a fire department media release, and fire was not present when crews arrived.
The injured workers were assessed by paramedics on scene. One was sent to hospital for further examination.
No damage was reported in the incident, the fire department said.
