A 19-year-old woman is in custody after evading police on Sunday morning.
Around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, a patrol officer noticed a stolen vehicle at 21 Street and Avenue P. According to police, the man driving the vehicle fled on foot after the officer tried to stop the vehicle. A woman in the passenger seat moved to the driver’s seat and drove away. She travelled south on Avenue P, then west on 11 Street West. She stopped the vehicle in the 3400 block of 11 Street W and was taken into custodywithout further incident.
The woman is facing multiple charges, including possession of stolen property, evading police and dangerous driving. The man is still outstanding.
