A teen and a young man are facing charges in connection with a homicide on the Red Earth First Nation over the weekend.

Police were called to a residence on the First Nation at 11:20 on Saturday morning after reports that a man had been injured. When they arrived, they found the body of a 42-year-old man. Investigators subsequently arrested a 16-year-old male, and a 20-year-old male in connection with the death.

A 16-year-old male from the Red Earth First Nation and a 20-year-old man also from the Red Earth First Nation are now facing Second Degree murder charges. They will make their first court appearance on July 28 in Melfort.
