Saskatoon police are searching for two suspects wanted in the afternoon armed robbery of an Eighth Street bank.

Police say the pair entered the bank on the 2800 block of Eighth Street East at about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday. One of the suspects was reportedly armed with a handgun.

The two demanded cash and assaulted one of the bank’s employees before fleeing in a newer, dark-coloured SUV.

The employee suffered minor injuries, according to police.

Both suspects are described as slim, younger males and about six-feet in height. They wore white masks, sunglasses and grey clothing.
