Police are looking for a suspect after a stolen vehicle pursuit in Martensville, Sask.

Around 11 p.m. Thursday, RCMP following up on an investigation into a 2014 GMC pickup truck that was stolen in Saskatoon spotted the vehicle in Martensville.

The driver fled from the officers and police laid out a spike belt on a rural road just east of the city.

The stolen vehicle drove over the spike belt but it didn’t stop and drove through a field.

Police followed the truck’s tracks through the Corman Industrial Park and into the west end of Saskatoon, where they found the stolen vehicle behind a home. The vehicle had sustained significant damage from the loss of the front tires.

A suspect has been identified and is being sought by police, but no name is being released because charges have not yet been laid.
