Four people are facing a combined 13 drug-related charges after two separate investigations by the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST).

Officers arrested a 24-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman after the man was spotted dealing drugs in a parking lot in the 400 block of Confederation Drive on June 22.

Police seized 10 fentanyl pills and $675 in cash. The man is facing five charges including trafficking fentanyl. The woman is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl and possession of proceeds of crime.

The arrests came after an investigation into fentanyl trafficking in Saskatoon.

Three days later, on June 25, officers with SIDEST saw a man dealing drugs in a parking lot on Highway 5 and Highway 2. The 24-year-old man was arrested without incident and officers seized more than $1,600 in cash, 3.1 grams of cocaine, 1.1 grams of methamphetamine, and 0.6 grams of crack cocaine from a vehicle. After a search warrant was executed at the man’s home an additional 92.2 grams of cocaine was found.

The man is facing four drug charges including trafficking cocaine. A 24-year-old woman is also facing a charge of possession of cocaine.
