Officers in Saskatchewan say they have arrested a convicted killer who escaped from a federal prison.
Saskatoon police say a man matching the description of Kevin Michael Sheets was spotted walking into a downtown building Thursday afternoon.
He was taken into custody without incident.
Sheets, who is 47, was serving an indeterminate sentence for second-degree murder at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary in Prince Albert.
The Correctional Service of Canada says the inmate was "unaccounted for" during a count Wednesday evening in the minimum-security unit.
Saskatoon police say arrangements were being made to return Sheets to the prison.
