Regina is the second happiest city in Canada, according to a new survey by travel app Jetpac City Guides.

The study measured smiles in images on the photo-sharing website Instagram and scored them out of 100.

Regina was ranked second among the 25 cities surveyed with a “smile score” of 36.2, while Saskatoon was fifth with a score of 33.4.

Kingston, Ont. was declared Canada’s happiest city, scoring 40.2, and Quebec City rounded out the top three with a score of 34.5.

• London, Ont. – 6th (32.3)

• Waterloo, Ont. – 7th (29.8)

• Kelowna, B.C. – 8th (29.4)

• Edmonton – 9th (29.3)
