Prince Albert's boil water order has been lifted. The city made the announcement Friday morning.

Repairs to the treatment plant have been completed, and the city has cleaned the reservoirs and flushed the distribution system.

It's now up to residents to flush the lines in their home. Once that is done, residents will no longer need to boil their water.

Instructions on how to flush home lines are being delivered to every address in the city.

It has been six weeks since the order was put in place because of contamination from giardia.
