A section of 11th Street between Avenue J South and Avenue N South in Saskatoon was cordoned off Friday morning due to an anonymous threat.

Police said they received a call just before 8 a.m. Friday. The call stated there was a bomb threat made from a payphone in the 1000 Block of Avenue L South outside MLA Danielle Chartier's office. The threat did not target a specific location, police on scene said.

It prompted officers to set up a perimeter for more than an hour as a precaution. An explosive disposal detection dog named Rush was brought to the scene to search the area. The call was determined to be unfounded.
