A downtown Saskatoon nightclub owner and high-profile member of the city’s gay community is facing a second sexual assault trial.

Skipp Anderson, owner of Pink Lounge and Nightclub, has been committed to stand trial on a charge dating back to last summer.

The 40-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting a man in his 20s.

The trial, which has not yet been scheduled, will be his second sexual assault trial. He’s already been committed to stand trial in April on accusations he sexually assaulted another man in 2014.

Anderson, who has been involved with the Saskatoon Diversity Network, is a board member with OUTSaskatoon. He’s currently on leave from the board, according to OUTSaskatoon’s website.
