Saskatchewan has a new law aimed at preventing ticket scalping.

The provincial government passed the Ticket Sales Act, which will come into effect June 1.

This legislation will prevent primary ticket seller websites - like Ticketmaster - from having links to reseller websites. Also, anyone living outside of a certain geographical area will not be able to buy tickets within the first hour the tickets go on sale.

The act will make it illegal for anyone using computer software to automatically buy up tickets.
