Wildfires continue to be a concern in the La Ronge area of Saskatchewan, but they were not the cause of a fire that seriously damaged a business in the community on Tuesday.
RCMP along with fire and EMS responded to the 1300 block of La Ronge Avenue at about 6:13 on Tuesday evening after reports of a structure fire. When they arrived, they found a building containing a business, fully engulfed in flames.
Crews were able to put out the blaze, but the contents of the building suffered severe damage. Investigators have determined that the fire was not a result of the wildfires, and it was not criminal in nature.
The investigation continues.
